Klaus Tomalla | Chairman
Klaus Tomalla is the General Manager of National Insurance Company Berhad where he has been working since 2016. He has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years. Most of the time he has been working for the German insurer Allianz which is also a shareholder of National Insurance Company Berhad. Klaus worked over 14 years in Moscow/Russia in the General and Life Insurance Sector. Before he was assigned to various projects in Central Eastern Europe, in Mumbai/India and in Cairo/Egypt. He is a bachelor degree holder in insurance and made his apprenticeship in Germany in 1989 in Allianz in Frankfurt/ Main.
Kenneth Ling is the General Manager of AIA Brunei, responsible for overseeing and managing the branch operations. His experience spans more than 30 years within the life insurance industry where he has help bring strong strategic leadership direction into the business and supporting sustainable business growth.

Hj Zamrin Hj Ghani | Vice Chairman (Non-Life)
Hj Zamrin is currently the General Manager of Insurans Islam TAIB General Takaful Sdn Bhd (IITGT) a subsidiary of Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd (IITH) the first Takaful company in Brunei established on 3rd March 1993. He is also the current Chairman of the Motor Sub-Committee.

Hj Darryl A. B. Hj Maidin | Secretary
Hj Darryl has been working in the financial services industry overseas as a legal advisor since 2004, and has held several positions in management. He is currently the General Counsel to the Board of Directors at Standard Insurance Sdn Bhd. Darryl is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. He completed his studies in London and Cardiff in the United Kingdom, before moving to Perth and Sydney, Australia to complete his legal education. His main area of practice is in insurance law, corporate and commercial law with a focus in a range of general commercial matters. Darryl is an accredited trainer and the QEFITA programme leader for the Centre for Islamic Banking, Finance and Management (CIBFM) under the Authoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD). He is also currently the appointed representative for the Insurance and Takaful industry in the Brunei National Road Safety Council committed to maintain the highest level of road safety for Brunei Darussalam.

Grace is currently the Manager of Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore Limited (Brunei Branch) the sole international insurer in Brunei.

Cornelius Yee | Treasurer
Cornelius Yee is the Deputy General (Finance) of Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (STBD). From 2012-2013 he was responsible to oversee the merger transition, consolidation and the revamping of the financial reporting model for STBD and its subsidiaries TBA and TBK.
In 2014-2015 he completed the IFRS transition for STBD and was responsible for the finance transformation and IT integration project as coordinator. Cornelius currently Chairs BITA’s Financial Reporting Committee. Prior to returning to Brunei he was previously an Audit Manager at Deloitte LLP, London.
