Insurance and Takaful fraud is any act committed with the intent to obtain a fraudulent outcome from an insurance and Takaful process. This may occur when a claimant attempts to obtain some benefit or advantage to which they are not otherwise entitled. False insurance and Takaful claims are insurance/Takaful claims filed with the intent to defraud an insurance and Takaful provider.
It is very important for Member of Public to exercise caution so that you do not unwittingly fall prey to Insurance and Takaful fraud. To protect yourselves, always verify any suspicions so that we can advise you accordingly. You can also report any insurance fraud to BITA.
