Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei) and its subsidiaries; Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK). Shahrildin started his career as a general takaful underwriter and progressed to heading roles including general takaful, family takaful, retakaful management, claims management, agency administration, sales and marketing, and risk management. Shahrildin holds a Master of Business Administration from Southampton University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies from The American University, Washington DC, United States of America. Shahrildin is keen to promote and advance the takaful and insurance industry in Brunei Darussalam.
Kenneth Ling is the General Manager of AIA Brunei, responsible for overseeing and managing the branch operations. His experience spans more than 30 years within the life insurance industry where he has help bring strong strategic leadership direction into the business and supporting sustainable business growth.

Hj Muhammad Zulhisham Bin Hj Zolkepli
Vice Chairman (General)
Zulhisham Zolkepli was a former Insurance and Takaful Supervisor under Brunei Darussalam Central Bank from early 2015 until 2017. He started his career with one of the Takaful Operators in Brunei in late 2009, under Family Takaful Division. He involved in the first merger process between two Brunei Takaful Operators in 2010 and conversion project of Wakalah Takaful Model. In 2018, he continued his Takaful adventure in Risk Management.
He is one of the pioneers in actuarial work in Brunei Darussalam. He is an experienced Analyst with over 10 years of working experience in Brunei financial industry in particular area of actuarial, data management, financial management and risk management. Skilled in Risk Management, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Analytical Skills. Specialized in Family Takaful and Life Insurance with a Certificate in Takaful from Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance. He holds a MSc in Applied Actuarial Science from University of Kent, United Kingdom. He is a certified business continuity leader and enterprise risk manager of Institute of Enterprise Risk Practitioners
Aariz Patrick Ng | Secretary
Patrick joined Great Eastern Life Assurance Co Ltd as Head of Brunei Branch in February 2022.
Patrick has been in the financial services industry for more than 25 years, especially in Banking covering areas of Retail, and Corporate Banking. Prior to joining Great Eastern, Patrick was overseeing branch management, digital banking, operations oversight, project management, and others in one of the local leading banks in the country. Patrick holds a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from the University of South Australia and is a Senior Associate member of Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).
Grace Wong | Assistant Secretary
Grace is currently the Manager of Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore Limited (Brunei Branch) the sole international non-life insurer in Brunei.
Chieng Chiew Wei | Treasurer
Chieng Chiew Wei has more than 18 years of professional experience in Accounting and Auditing, of which 7 years have been in the insurance industry. She joined National Insurance Company Berhad in 2014 as Manager Accounts & Finance. She is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
