SHORT VIDEO COMPETITION 2026

In conjunction with Insurance & Takaful Day 2026, BITA (“the Organizer”) is organizing a Video Competition opened to members of the public from 01 June to 30th September 2026.

  1. The competition is open to all members of Public.

  2. There is no entry fee.

  3. Participants under the age of 18 must obtain parental or legal guardian consent.

  4. Participants may work together in groups or submit entries as individuals. There is no limit to the number of individuals working in a group. Participants may only submit one entry into the competition.

    1. Participants entering the competition as a group must have one lead producer to serve as the main point of contact.

  5. Please begin your video with a 5-second full screen “title screen” and include the following information:

    1. Producer’s name.

    2. Title of video.

    3. Video running time.

  6. The video should not be longer than 60 seconds. The 5-second title screen does not count towards this time limit.

  7. Submissions must be original. Plagiarism of any kind will result in disqualification. The text of the theme does not have to be illustrated on the entry.  We are looking for the interpretation of the theme through the entry.

    1. Entries must not:

      1. Infringe intellectual property rights.

      2. Contain unlawful, misleading, or offensive content.

      3. Support racial, religious, or other invidious prejudice.]

      4. Invade the privacy of any person.

      5. Promote specific brands, products and services.

      6. Be otherwise inappropriate as determined by the Organizer in its sole and conclusive determination.

  8. Each entry must focus on the topic “Insurance/Takaful”.

  9. The Organizer reserves the right to determine eligibility of the entries.

  10. Entries must be submitted to the Organizer via email (inquiry.bita@gmail.com) no later than 10:00AM, 31st September 2026.

  11. By submitting an entry, participants irrevocably assign all intellectual property rights in the submission to the organizer, including rights recognized under Copyright Order, 1999 and Copyright (Amendment) Order, 2013.

  12. The Organizer may use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, and distribute the content across any media for education, promotional, and awareness purposes. Participants consent to the Organizer’s use and modification of the content without further approval, to the extent permitted by law.

  13. Participants warrant that the work is original and where necessary, permissions have been obtained and no third-party rights are infringed.

  14. Participants agree to indemnify the Organizer against any claims arising from breach of these warranties.

  15. Personal data will be collected and processed for competition administration and related purposes in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Order 2024 (“PDPO”).

  16. Participants may request access to or correction of their data, subject to legal limitations as set out in PDPO.

  17. Participants agree that the Organizer may use their name, voice, likeness, and submitted content for publicity purposes without additional compensation.

  18. Judging criteria will be determined by the Organizer and the Organizer’s decision is final and binding. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute or withhold prizes

  19. The organizer may disqualify entries that breached these foregoing Terms and Conditions, contain false information, and(or) involve misconduct or manipulation.

  20. The Organizer shall not be liable for loss or damage (physical or digital) to any submissions and any unauthorized third-party use of the content.

  21. The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the competition at its discretion.

  22. The only compensation for submitting a video is the opportunity to be awarded a prize if the entry wins. The Organizer will pay content creator no additional compensation nor will the organizer be liable to the content creator under any circumstances.

  24. By entering the BITA Video Competition Participant are agreeing to the conditions of entry outlined above.

  25. Prize presentation for winner will be held at an event which will be confirmed at a later date.
